And it’s a good time of year to recognize your customers and let know you appreciate them. You could go and buy gifts for all of your customers, but that many gifts will either be expensive or flimsy, so what you need is an inexpensive way to create something memorable for your customers.
Luckily your business probably has a printer; with that and a little creativity you can let your customers know how important they are without breaking the bank. Here are a few ideas to help you get started.
Photo cards and tags
Take photos of things that you personally think represents the local holiday spirit. Then add your own logo or message and print them on card stock and send them out as Christmas cards or use them as gift tags. If your printer can’t handle card stock, print copies on regular paper and glue them on cardstock.

You can provide a gift like:
- Discounts for your products or services.
- Team up with other businesses in your area and trade gift certificates. You’ll help your fellow businesses and give your customers something new to try.
- Or make rewards for your employees, like time off coupons or free lunch.
Personalize mailing labels and stationery
Do you remember when people used to write letters? Bring back the lost art of letter writing and spice it up with personalized mailing labels and stationery. Whether you use Microsoft Office or Pages (for Mac), there are templates to help you create mailing labels and stationery. We suggest using Avery labels as they provide support information and are good quality.
Recipe cards
You probably have some great cooks in your office. Get some tasty recipes from them and then find printable blank recipe cards. You want to make it even better, make the recipe and give the gift of food with directions on how to make it.
Coloring books
I’ll bet a lot of your customers have kids. Let them know you care about their whole family. Find printable coloring templates online along with educational worksheets for kids. You can also laminate the pages and use dry erase washable crayons to use the books many times. Customize the books with the child’s name and age.
